CARTT OS · Inventory & Fulfilment

A real warehouse.
A real order desk.
Built in, not bolted on.

Multi-location, bin-level stock. A Sales Register that drives every order from allocation to despatch. Receiving, stocktake, batch and serial tracking, costing, and a freight engine with live carrier rates - all native to the same platform that runs your store. No middleware. No sync that breaks at 2am.

The order desk

One board for every order, from sale to despatch.

The Sales Register is the operational heart of fulfilment. Web, phone and trade-fair orders all land on the one board, each arriving with its status, a live in-stock percentage and an urgent flag when it needs jumping the queue - so the desk can see at a glance what's ready to pick and what's waiting on stock. Allocate, pick, split backorders, pack, freight, invoice and despatch - the whole lifecycle on one screen, with a running note history against every customer so context never gets lost.

What's inside

A warehouse system, not a stock field.

Most platforms give you a quantity column. This is the real thing - where stock lives, how it moves, and how it's costed and traced.

Where stock lives

  • Multi-location and bin-level stock - know the unit and the shelf
  • Scanner-driven bin transfers between bins and locations
  • Stocktake with scanner counts at the bin - variance against expected, posted in one click
  • Stock allocation against open orders, with backorder splits

How stock arrives & leaves

  • Container inbound with PO and GRN receiving - put a delivery away across several bins in one go
  • Scan a carton or inner barcode to receive the whole pack, not one unit
  • Bin-aware picking slips from the Sales Register - nearest-expiry batch first, stock reserved for the pick
  • Pick short and the rest folds into a backorder, re-picked the moment stock lands
  • Pack → freight → invoice → despatch in one flow
  • In-stock percentage on every order before you commit to pick
  • Bulk catalogue import/export with dry-run preview, one-click undo & scheduled daily supplier-feed sync

Traceability & costing

  • Batch and serial tracking through receiving, picking and despatch
  • FEFO picking for dated stock, with one-step recall traceability
  • FIFO or weighted-average costing on every movement
  • An item cost card per product - standard, average and last cost, value on hand and days of stock at a glance
  • Container cost pooling - pool a shipping container's costs under one job number, spread across every line automatically
  • Stock valuation that reconciles straight into your books
Multi-location

Know not just how many, but exactly where.

Stock is held per location and down to the individual bin, so a pick list points the picker straight to the shelf. Move stock with a scanner and the count updates itself - no spreadsheet reconciliation, no guessing which warehouse a line came from.

  • Per-location stock with bin-level addresses inside each warehouse
  • Scanner-driven transfers between bins and across locations - stock held for an active pick stays put automatically
  • Slow moves can despatch now and be received at the other end later
  • Put-away on receipt directs incoming stock to the right bin
  • Full counts or rolling cycle counts by zone or category keep accuracy high without stopping the warehouse

Freight engine

Your rules first. Live carrier rates second.

The freight engine resolves your own postcode, weight and cubic rules - the rates you've negotiated, the zones you ship to. When you want live carrier pricing, it pulls real-time rates, prints the label and returns tracking through Shippit. The cheapest valid option wins, and every despatch is fully documented.

  • Postcode, weight and cubic rules for your own rate cards
  • Live carrier rates, labels and tracking via Shippit
  • Cheapest valid service chosen automatically at pack time
  • Tracking written back to the order and the customer

Run the warehouse from the same place you run the store.

One stock ledger, one order board, one set of books - from the first receipt to the final despatch. Let's walk your fulfilment flow end to end.
